interesting

So much has happened since February! Celia Liahona Fonua was born June 28! Our 5th child. A beautiful girl. She continues to delight us in every way since the day she was born. The kids especially cannot get enough of her. Teiko and I love our children, they never cease to amaze us and make us proud. Teiko is such a big teddy bear, I love seeing his soft side when he cares for our children, especially with our newborn babies. He is so gentle, tender and sweet. How I love my husband! We went to Utah in July for Helamans baptism, he turned 8 on June 10th! And while we were in Utah, our beloved sweet Grandfather, Teiko's Dad passed away from cancer. Sadly, I never fully appreciated my father in law Hilamani as much as I do now, now that he is gone. Isn't that a tragedy! I miss him. Our children miss him. And my sweet hubby misses his Dad. Life is too precious and short! How often do we hear those words but never fully realize or understand them until someone dear to us is gone, so suddenly. Hilamani didn't like me much when I was dating Teiko, or even after I married Teiko. I can understand a little as to why. I was young. To them, I was an immature right-out-of-high-school little girl that didn't deserve a strapping man like Teiko! But as soon as I started bearing his Grandchildren, and named our eldest after him. And then baby #2, and then #3 and #4 came along. I saw a change wrought in my father in law. He saw how I cared for my children, how I raised them how I was raised, strong in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To me, there is no other way in which to raise children, I honestly don't know of any other way because I was raised the same way by my amazing parents. I felt of my father in laws love and respect when he visited us in 2010 in our new place here in Arizona. That is the greatest memory I have of Hilamani and Lolohea, was when they visited us here in Arizona. Hilamani blessed our home. Our children couldn't get enough of there Grandparents. It was so sweet. How I love my in laws. I miss Hilamani and never had a chance really to say Thank you for raising an exceptional man who is my husband. Thank you for instilling in my hubby a strong foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in which to raise our own children in. Thank you Dad for all your prayers, love and support. For the free vehicles, and free mechanical repairs. We miss you Grandpa Hilamani. You are always in our hearts. And I know you continue to watch out for us on the other side. On the day of Hilamani's burial, our eldest son Hilamani III was baptized on the same day, July 16th. Sweet aye! We will never forget that special day. The spirit was felt strongly throughout the entire funeral service. And especially on our sons Baptism Day. Lolohea turned 7 years old. Ammaron turned 4 years old. Both in September. Time continues to softly, sweetly glide. I have been reflecting a lot on life recently. We have been in Arizona 2 years now. It was such a random move to many, and especially to our families who both live in Utah and just down the street from each other! But Teiko and I moved here, to strengthen our relationship, to bond together, and to strengthen our little family. To be one. We miss our family greatly, especially after the death of his Father, I know Teiko wishes to be in Utah to help his family out in any way he can. But for now, the Lord needs us here. And we will follow the Lord's command. It is not yet time to go back, we both feel that. We have grown so much as a couple, and as a family since living here. We have also struggled immensely in every way possible but I wouldn't have it any other way. If it means, that in the end, we are stronger as a couple and as a family. And strongly united in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then it was all worth it. Funny how that works huh. I wouldn't have said this just a year ago, that's for sure. Life is good. I have drawn closer to my Savior and learned how to really rely upon Him, and how to apply his Atonement in my life. I finally understand it more fully now, seeing that I had to apply it into my life. Trials or opportunities-for-growth as I like to call trials, will continue to come but it's different now, I have finally learned to completely turn everything over to the Lord, and try to learn what it is he is trying to teach me through that opportunity of growth. I love the Lord, and I am aware of his tender mercies and care. I have been the partaker of many miracles, and I will always remember them. I am not anything overly special, I have not done anything spectacular or newsworthy, I didn't serve a mission (I will in the future with my hubby! :) what I do every day would be mundane to the world but it is what I love to do, a stay at home Mom. I am just me. Ana Terewai Moleni-Fonua. A very blessed woman who appreciates and embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. A mother to 5 beautiful children. And a wife to a handsome sweet man, who loves me as much I love him. Life is grand.

and time moves on...

so many great things have happened in the months since my last entry.
- We will be having a baby girl due around the end of June. We are so excited! The name we more than likely will be going with is Celia Liahona. Named after my sister and Mother.
- Joseph Alipate turned 5 years old! My how time flies! I still remember when he was born.
-We were flooded with visitors around the Christmas season, and we LOVED it. We love when family or friends visit and stay with us.
- These months have passed by in a flurry of activity with many miracles and many blessings.
- I am getting bigger and more uncomfortable, 5 kids! I praise my body for it's strength and endurance. This pregnancy has been my most trying. The first 18 weeks were full of nausea, endless headaches, weeks of head congestion and severe allergies. I have placenta previa and the baby is breeched. But all is hopeful that my body will right itself so that by the time baby is born, I won't have to have a C-section.
- I thank my Father in Heaven every day for my beautiful children and husband. My husband has been a great help, cooking on days when I can barely stand. Cleaning. On top of his callings and his job. My children are so helpful with cleaning, and overall sensitive to how I feel. They act so much older than they are. I dread that they are growing too fast.

Life is awesome. Full of blessings. We miss our family in Utah. But we are grateful to be here in Arizona. Feeling the Lord's hand in our every day lives.
'Till next time! Looking forward to what the future holds and cherishing the present moments.

Dear Family and Friends....

It has been another while before my last post, I do not blog obviously. Because I tend to get carried away writing about nothing important. So let's make this something worth reading! :) Our life as a family has been pretty uneventful. Helaman got straight E's which is basically straight A's, his first quarter in school. I still can't believe he is a 2nd grader, where did the time go. My darling eldest son keeps on getting bigger and thicker. He loves school, is very social and happy. Lolohea, our precious princess, is also excelling in Kindergarten, top of the class. Which isn't surprising considering her age. She is the oldest, and tallest in her class ;) And she too loves school, and is so excited to be able to start reading! Joseph is in Preschool, and I marvel at how much he has come out of his shell and is more social now that he is in Preschool. I love it. My shy, sensitive, tough little boy is my special challenge since he was born but boy, he makes life interesting! And lively! ha ha ha. He is just more needy than the other kids, all I can do is love him and love him some more. Ammaron is my baby! A big tall baby :) He loves hanging around Mommy all day, and I don't know what I would do if I didn't have someone to tag around with me all day like my children do. How I love the company of my children. I love being there Mom.

We are expecting our 5th child. She (we feel it's a she ;) is due to make her grand debut on July 2nd, 2011. Simply amazing. I am weary. I am tired. And so surprising to me, I am actually sick with this pregnancy. My other pregnancies were free of nausea and that type of thing. Not this pregnancy. I get it every day, and sometimes for hours where I just lie down crouched in a ball to try ease the yucky feeling in the pit of my stomach. It's weird to me because I didn't go through this with my other pregnancies. I must be getting old! ;0) But it's a miracle, having and bearing children is nothing short of miraculous.

Teiko and I are progressing, growing and moving forward. We love living here in Arizona. We are surrounded by such wonderful friends and a marvelous ward family. We love it here. Enjoying 70 degree temperatures in November is heavenly to us! Going to the park everyday is joyous, feeling the warm sun and enjoying the gentle breeze. No, we do not miss the snow and frigid cold temperatures in Utah. We love you our family and friends. We appreciate you. God Bless.

Counting my blessings

....and I disappeared again! I am not an avid faithful blog writer. I prefer writing in my actual journal where I can be free to write whatever and however I want without the fear of being critiqued for spelling errors or judged by comments I say, which is why I am selective as to how and what I write on here. Anyways...maybe I will work on that, and just let loose with the feelings of my heart and blurt it all out here on my blog...nah hahaha Maybe one day. Anyways, little miracles have been happening in my life, miracles of which if I had been too busy I would have failed to notice in the ongoing trials in my life right now. I should have recorded them. Yesterday, Kristen and Rob Gartner, came over and helped me to clean up my backyard. They mowed the lawn. And a bunch of yard work. How grateful I am for the kindness of these sweet people. I have been blessed to witness and be the partaker of some wonderful acts of service from the good generous people here in my ward. I don't know what the future holds for me and my family, I can only pray and hope and have faith that all will be well. The scriptures and praying, and service is what sustains me and gets me through. I have good friends who definitely help by just being a friend and allowing me to laugh and have a good time. It feels good to be able to do that. My children are a joy to me, I understand completely now since being a mother why the Lord asks us to be like unto them, like children. They are so forgiving, sweet, gentle, happy and wonderful. Yes of course I have trying times with them but the good, memorable times totally outweigh the sometimes difficult times it is being a Mother. I love it! I couldn't ask for anything more fulfilling, than being a Mother. Anyways, as you can see, my thoughts are all over the place. But overall, in the grand big spectrum of things, life is beautiful. Can't deny that, it's true :) Well, I will get back to you, with more relevant things to say, on another day (or late night ;). I will leave with you a picture which is happiness to me. Good Night

What a week! Discouraging, but not too bad of a week. Like the pics above??? They were done by aubphotography.blogspot.com. My hair and makeup done by Angel Moleni. It was a lot of fun. I have had to deal with low self esteem most of my life, and these pictures were daring for me to do. I don't like the spotlight. And I don't usually like pictures. Did you know when I was younger, before the invention of cool digital cameras that I would hide my face in pictures, or not smile in them at all. I didn't like how I looked or I didn't like my teeth. But now, I could not care less. I am a proud mother of 4, happy with my position in life thus far. I am not glamorous, or famous or 'model' material but I am me. Ana. I wish I could turn back the hands of time, and just be grateful for me. Quirks, flaws and everything. I would have had a more positive experience in High School, with dating, and as a mother. It has taken me 27 years to just be comfortable in my skin, crazy huh!
Anyways, today is Saturday. Preparing for Sunday and the Sabbath. More later :)

back

What an awesome, amazing summer we have had. I LOVE my family, I love all of our family. Life is resuming again, after the wild fun we had in Utah. It's back to school every day for Lolo and Helaman. It's busy, hectic, and I need to cherish these moments more with my children who are growing up so fast! I can't believe half of 2010 is already over! WOW, time sure does fly when life is busy.
Teiko has been faithfully looking for a stable job, it hasn't been easy since moving to Arizona. Especially financially. Moving to Arizona is the biggest leap of faith me and Teiko have ever taken, yay for growing up! hahaha We have never been as tested or as tried as we have here in Arizona, in every way it seems but neither have we grown so much, especially as a couple. The Lord is definitely refining us and molding us into something better, for which I am so very grateful. I love serving Him, and striving to do the Lord's will. With God, anything and everything is possible. Don't ya love that! We sure do. Teiko and I just celebrated our 8 year Anniversary on August 2, 2010. How I love my man, my husband. This is the first year we didn't do anything, nope not nothing. Not a penny to celebrate it but we didn't mind. Of course, we would have celebrated it if we had the money to do so. But we were ok, our love for each other is stronger than it has ever been. And that to me is the greatest gift I could ever ask for. Sweet aye. I love Teiko. I love our children. Well, this is my life story so far. I am still plugging along in online school at Uni of Phoenix, it's ok. I miss the interaction that comes from being in a traditional school but one day! :) For now, being a mother is more important and completing school online allows me do that, continue with my responsibilities as a mom. Anyways, so much more to write but Ammaron is spilling cheerios on the floor and Joseph is assisting him. Back to life :) :-)
